Metro: Medellín has the country’s only metro, which transports more than 400,000 passengers a day. It has the following routes: Line A travels the Aburrá Valley from north to south and Line B runs from downtown to the west of the city.
Metrocable: An arial, mass – transit cable system that is unique in the world because of its carácter, which complements the city of Medellín Metro. If you have a Metrocable ticket, you can ride the Metro.
Metroplus: A system under construction, which will be integrated into the Metro and will transport some 164,000 passengers per day; it will have 21 pre – determined stops.
Buses: The city has a private system of urban buses that attend all the ares of the district.
Taxis: In Medellín there are 19,000 registered taxi drivers.
